Welcome! (click here for an overview of this blog)
March 2008.
Wecome to the “Speaking of Amway, what are YOUR thoughts on…?” weblog. The purpose of this blog is to provide a forum to engage in respectable give-and-take dialogue on topics of deep interest to Quixtar and Amway Independent Business Owners, and the Quixtar, Amway, and Alticor companies as well. Business reputation, tools and tool systems, IBO training, products and product pricing, reputation management, business transformation, leadership, sponsoring approaches, and more, are all on the table for discussion. In addition, if you have an idea for a thread, let me know. (administrator@speakingofamway.com)
This weblog is not affiliated with Amway, Quixtar, or Alticor. Nor is it financially supported or endorsed in any way by Amway, Quixtar, or Alticor. This is an independent website and the information, thoughts, and opinions shared on this blog in no way, directly or indirectly, represent the opinions of Amway, Quixtar, or Alticor, nor their affiliated companies or employees.
My desire in hosting this blog is to focus the dialogue on finding real world solutions to these matters of critical importance to everyone. There are other Q/A/A related websites where you can engage ad nauseum in negative diatribes, play the blame game for past or current challenges, and malign specific individuals or companies for real or perceived past errors in judgment or behavior. If that is your focus, visit those sites and enjoy yourself, but that is not the focus of this blog. The focus of this blog is defining the problems we face and searching for appropriate solutions. Solutions that work in the real world in which we live. Solutions that make a difference. Solutions that allow all parties involved — Quixtar, Amway, Alticor, IBOs, prospects, customers, and the marketplace in general – to win.
That is not to say that there will not be times when the seriousness of a topic or the dynamics associated with an issue won’t move a blogger to be quite negative or upset about someone, something, or some institution — perhaps even highly so. I understand that. Emotions can run quite hot at times, often with good reason. At the same time, I’m hopeful our desire to find meaningful solutions that ultimately benefit all of us will also encourage every blogger on this site to make sure those negative episodes are more “today’s weather” than the “ongoing climate” on this blog.
My goal is to have not only past or current IBOs, but also Line of Affiliation leaders and representatives of Quixtar, Amway, and Alticor, interact regularly with the topics and issues discussed on this site. In keeping with the radical transparency that has made the internet such a powerful force in the marketplace, I would prefer that you register and post under your real name. However, that isn’t a requirement, and I understand why some individuals post anonymously or use fictional screen names. Posting under your real name demonstrates a willingness to be known for, and defend if necessary, what you truly believe and express in a relatively public forum. The bottom line, I’d rather people at least have a voice, even if its anonymous. Ultimately my hope is that we will all benefit from hearing your point of view and also from getting to know you better.
I hope you’ll choose to register with this blog and participate in our dialogue. I look forward to learning more about your perspective and hearing your thoughts on the topics we will be discussing on this blog in the weeks and months to come. Again, welcome to the “Speaking of Amway, what are YOUR thoughts on…?” blog. Thanks for visiting!
